Terms & Conditions of Hire
- General: The hiring shall
be between the holidaymaker (hirer) and Anglesey Island Cottages.
The hired property shall be used solely for holiday purposes
and the hirer undertakes to vacate the property on the last day
of the confirmed booking. A binding contract is entered into
on the issuing of a confirmation of booking, no contract is entered
until this confirmation has been sent following receipt of a
signed booking form and payment of either 30% deposit of the
rent or the full rent.
- Payment: A deposit of
30% of the rental and the cost of any chargeable extras is payable
on booking. The balance is due 56 days before the start of the
holiday; no reminders will be sent. Full payment is due on booking
a holiday 56 days or less from the start of the holiday. If
a balance payment is not received 56 days before the holiday
Anglesey Island Cottages reserves the right to cancel the booking
in which case the deposit paid will be forfeit. Payments should
be made in pounds sterling and by cheque made out to Anglesey
Island Cottages.
- Accommodation: The
description of the property and its amenities is made in good
faith. Whilst care is taken to ensure the property and its contents
are safe and in good order, the use of the property and its amenities
is at the user's risk and the owner will not accept responsibility
for injury to guests or third parties or for the loss or damage
belongings cars or contents or personal possessions.
- Occupancy: The number
of persons occupying the property may not exceed the maximum
number stated for each property. Anglesey Island Cottages reserves
the right to refuse entry to or demand removal of persons in
excess of the stated number.
- Pets: Pets are only accepted
by agreement at the time of booking and on payment of the weekly
fee in operation at the time of booking. Pets are not allowed
on any furniture or in any bedroom and must be under control
at all times and may not be left alone in the property at any
time. At the end of the holiday all traces of the pet must be
cleaned from the house and garden. Pet's bedding must be provided
by the hirer.
- Access: The property will
be available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated
by 10.00am on the day of departure. These times may be varied
for Short Breaks where possible and by prior arrangement.
- Complaints: Anglesey
Island Cottages must be notified of any damaged or non-functioning
appliances on arrival or as soon as possible. If problems arise
during the holiday or there is any cause for complaint, Anglesey
Island Cottages must be notified immediately so that steps can
be taken to resolve the situation. No remedy can be offered
after the letting has ceased.
- Hirer's Responsibility: The
hirer must take care of the property and its fixtures and fittings
and leave it clean and tidy and in the same condition as at the
start of the holiday. Any damages or breakages must be reported
and Anglesey Island Cottages reserve the right to request payment
to cover the cost or repair or replacement. Telephones are provided
and calls should be paid for on an honesty system and coal used
paid for at the cost price advertised in the cottage. Money
for coal and telephone calls can be left in the cottage at the
end of the stay.
- Refundable Security Deposit: A
refundable deposit of £200.00 is required for non- family
group bookings, dogs under two years old and on all Christmas
and New Year bookings. This must be paid two weeks before the
commencement of the holiday and will be held by Anglesey Island
Cottages and refunded as soon as the cleaners have confirmed
that there is no damage or additional cleaning required beyond
normal cleaning.
Cancellations should be notified to Anglesey Island Cottages by telephone
as soon as possible and confirmed in writing the same day. A full
refund of the Balance payments only is given for any of the following
reasons: death, injury, illness, compulsory quarantine, jury service,
witness summons to the Hirer or those persons mentioned on the booking
form, or damage to the Hirer's home rendering it uninhabitable. If
a deposit only has been paid you will not be liable for the Balance
owing.
Redundancy or any illness or condition for which medical advice or
treatment is being received or awaited at the time of booking or
traveling against medical advice is not covered.
Persons over eighty years of age or persons expecting to give birth
before or within three months of the last day of the holiday are
excluded from this scheme. Visitors not resident in the U. K. are
not covered by the scheme.
No deposits will be refunded.
